Cindi Boiter is a six-time winner of the SC Fiction Project, winner of the Piccolo Fiction Project, the Porter Fleming Award for fiction, the 2014 recipient of the Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Governor’s Award for the Arts, the 2018 recipient of the Lucy Hampton Bostic Award, and the 2023 SC Governor’s Award in the Humanities. She is the founder and editor of Jasper Magazine and the literary magazine Fall Lines – a literary convergence. She is the author of Buttered Biscuits: Short Stories from the South, co-author of Red Social with Alejandro Garcia Lemos, and editor of The Limelight volumes I, II and II, A Sense of the Midlands, Art from the Ashes, Marked by the Water, Sheltered, and Setting the Supper Table. She was a co-founder of the Deckle Edge Literary Festival and has served on the board of directors for Trustus Theatre, Columbia Classical Ballet, Columbia City Jazz, Wideman Davis Dance and continues to serve in an ex-officio position as executive director emerita on the Jasper Project board of directors. Cindi is married to Dr. Bob Jolley, with whom she founded Muddy Ford Press in 2011, publishing more than 30 books by SC writers to date. |
