Nancy Brock is the 2014 SC Academy of Authors Fiction Fellowship winner and a 2016, 2017, and 2023 finalist for the Ron Rash Award for Fiction. She was one of four finalists for the SC Novel Competition (2018). She placed third in the 2017 Clay Reynolds Novella Competition (Texas Review Press). She is an eight-time finalist or short-listed finalist in the Faulkner-Wisdom Literary Competition. Her short stories have appeared in Fall Lines 1, Fall Lines 2, and Broad River Review. She is a contributor to STATE OF THE HEART, Vol. 2 (USC Press). She served on the SC Book Festival Advisory Committee from 2003-2015. In another lifetime she worked for the SC State Historic Preservation Office.
