Daniel Cross Turner (Ph.D., Vanderbilt) is Head of Programming & Outreach for the Georgetown County Library System. His books include Southern Crossings: Poetry, Memory, and the Transcultural South (Tennessee, 2012), Hard Lines: Rough South Poetry (USC, 2016), and Undead Souths: The Gothic and Beyond in Southern Literature and Culture (LSU, 2015). His numerous essays are published in scholarly journals, including Mosaic 
​and Genre, and edited collections by Oxford and Cambridge. His creative writing appears in Birmingham Poetry Review, Five Points, and Literary Matters, and he has published interviews with contemporary writers, including Charles Wright, Yusef Komunyakaa, and Natasha Trethewey.
