Daniel Cross Turner (Ph.D., Vanderbilt) is Head of Programming & Outreach for the Georgetown County Library System. His books include Southern Crossings: Poetry, Memory, and the Transcultural South (Tennessee, 2012), Hard Lines: Rough South Poetry (USC, 2016), and Undead Souths: The Gothic and Beyond in Southern Literature and Culture (LSU, 2015). His numerous essays are published in scholarly journals, including Mosaic
and Genre, and edited collections by Oxford and Cambridge.
