Frances Mims-Paul Talmadge
Literary Advocacy Award
Since 1986, the Board of Governors for the South Carolina Academy of Authors has made it the mission of the organization to recognize and celebrate the literary contributions of writers, poets, and playwrights in South Carolina. In 2019, the Board added to that mission the desire to recognize individuals and organizations who exemplify an advocacy for the literary arts in our state with the Frances Mims-Paul Talmadge Literary Advocacy Award.
The Frances Mims-Paul Talmadge Literary Advocacy Award is presented biennially to an organization, person, or persons that demonstrate or have demonstrated long and continuing service to the literary arts in South Carolina.
