​Jim Lundy has served continuously on the board of the Poetry Society of South Carolina in various capacities since 2005, including three years as president from 2008 to 2011 and a second three years from 2019 to 2022. He also curated Monday Night Poetry and Music, a weekly poetry and music series in Charleston, for 12 years and is active in several other community groups. He is the author of The History of the Poetry Society of South Carolina: 1920-2021, and was invited to discuss the book on the SC Public Radio program Walter Edgar's Journal in 2022.
